Snacks can often be processed and full of preservatives. I like to make my own snacks at home for a healthy treat. These Chai Latte flavored snacks will keep you full and are healthy as well!
1. Chai Tea Fruit Compote
Ingredients:
- ½ cup fresh raspberries
- ½ cup fresh blueberries
- ½ cup fresh blackberries
- 1.5 cups of water
- 1 scoop of Dr. Amy Shah’s Chai Latte Powder Mix
Directions:
- Simmer water in a medium saucepan
- Add all ingredients listed above and simmer until berries break down and sauce thickens
- Stir as needed
This chai tea fruit compote can be used to sweeten yogurt, on toast, or even eaten alone! What a flavorful and healthy way to break your fast.
2. Vegan Chai Popsicles
(Yield: 6)
Ingredients:
- 1.5 cups coconut milk
- 2 tablespoons honey/agave/two packs of stevia
- 1 scoop of Dr. Amy Shah’s Chai Latte Powder Mix
- I set of popsicle molds
Instructions:
- Mix and stir all the 3 ingredients, fill in the molds!
- Freeze overnight and enjoy!
3. Chai Spiced Granola
Ingredients
- ½ cup honey, agave, or 2 packs of stevia
- 2 tablespoons of coconut oil
- ½ teaspoon of vanilla extract, almond extract, or orange extract
- 4 cups old-fashioned rolled oats
- 2 cups of nuts (almonds, pecans, walnuts, sunflower seeds)- any nut of your choice
- 1/2 cup of shredded coconut, or chopped up dried fruits (apricots, prunes, cranberries, or mandarin oranges)
- 1 and ½ scoops of Dr. Amy Shah’s Chai Latte Powder Mix
Directions
- Preheat oven to 300 degrees and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foi.
- In a small mixing bowl, whisk together warmed honey/agave/or two packs of stevia with coconut oil and the extract of your choice. Set aside for later.
- In a large mixing bowl, toss together oats, nuts, coconut and chai spice mix until evenly combined. Add in the honey mixture, and toss until the dry ingredients are evenly coated
- Spread the mixture out on the prepared baking sheet in an even layer.
- Bake for 20 minutes, removing the sheet from the oven at the halfway point to give the granola a good stir for even cooking. Return sheet to the oven and bake 1 cup chai tea
4. Chai Latte Infused Baked Pear Halves
Ingredients:
- 2 large bosc pears peeled and halved with the seeds scooped out
- ¾ cup of melted earth balance
- ½ teaspoon dark brown sugar
- 1.5 scoops of Dr. Amy’s Chai Latte Powder Mix
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees fahrenheit
- Melt butter in microwave safe bowl and mix in brown sugar and chai latte powder mix.
- Put pears cut side down on a baking sheet lined with foil and top with butter mixture. Bake until pears look soft and have a slight golden color- about 8 minutes-

5. Chai Spiced Popcorn
This is a fast and easy snack using microwaved popcorn!
Ingredients:
- 1 bag of microwaved popcorn
- Dr. Amy Chai Latte Spice Mix- 1 scoop
- Pinch of cinnamon
- Pinch of cardamom
- Handful of almonds
- Coconut Oil
Directions:
- Combine the popcorn with one teaspoon of oil (optional), then place it in a brown paper bag (or a heatproof bowl covered with a plate). Fold over the top of the bag 2-3 times to seal the contents. Then place in the microwave, upright, and microwave at full power for between 2-4 minutes, or until the popping slows to every few seconds.
- Then, transfer the popped popcorn to a large bowl and drizzle with ½ tablespoon of melted coconut oil, tossing gently to coat.
- Meanwhile, in a small bowl, combine Dr. Amy’s Chai Latte Mix with some added cinnamon and a sprinkle of extra cardamom.
- Sprinkle the chai spices on the popcorn, tossing to distribute – add the handful of nuts and enjoy your chai spiced popcorn!
6. Chai Spiced Mixed Nuts
This is a fast and easy snack using any combination of store bought mixed nuts that are unflavored (lightly salted works well)
Ingredients:
- ¼ cup of almonds
- ¼ cup of pecans
- ¼ cup of shelled pistachios
- 1 scoop of Dr. Amy Shah’s Chai Latte Powder
- ¼ cup of dried cranberries- unsweetened or lightly sweetened preferred
- Melted coconut oil, about ½ cup
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350
- On a lined baking sheet, toss nuts with melted coconut oil and roast for about 8 minutes until nuts get toasted and release their natural oils (you will be able to smell the nuts roasting- at this point- take them out of the oven)
- While the nuts are cooling, sprinkle them with Dr. Amy’s chai spice powder
- Combine cranberries and toss all together in a large bowl- seal in an airtight container and enjoy a great snack!
