Chai Protein+ Powder

$40.00 USD $58.00 USD

Chai Protein+ was born out of necessity. Dr. Shah found that as she was sharing the science around gut healthy foods, she had a difficult time finding tasty foods and drinks that fit the requirements. She loved drinking her chai every day, but always had to drink it alongside a protein shake or protein-rich breakfast. So, she married the two, modified it to have no sugar and no preservatives, and created Chai Protein+. It’s a delicious blend of gut healthy spices, micro-filtered protein and just a hint of sweetness. Fuel your day, every day with a glass of Chai Protein+!

How to Prepare

Because it’s a whey protein and doesn’t have additives and emulsifiers, Chai Protein+ requires a simple but specific way of preparation.

Use the directions below -
  1. Take a scoop and gradually stir the mix into cool water. This is easier if you have a frother!
  2. If you prefer your chai warm, do step 1 and then heat the mixture to your desired temperature.
  3. That’s it, Enjoy!
OR you can add a scoop to a blender with other ingredients for a smoothie!

Delish!

I make every morning in my to go tumbler. I use a milk frother to mix a bit of cold water, scoop of powder and a splash of flavored creamer. Top off with hot water and a caffeinated teabag. If I need some caffeine and I’m out the door.

Sugar, spice & the not-so-nice

While I'm a huge fan of Dr. Amy's content and appreciate her innovative approach to health and wellness, I have some mixed feelings about the powdered drink: Chai Protein+.

The Good:
Protein Powerhouse: The inclusion of protein is a great way to start your day or fuel your workouts.
Flavor Potential: The base flavors of chai are promising, with the potential for a hot tea experience.

The Bad:
Sweetness Overload: The sweetness level is way too high for my taste. I'd prefer a more balanced flavor profile with a stronger emphasis on all the comforting chai spices.

Temperature Sensitivity: The product is quite sensitive to water temperature. Using very hot water leads to severe clumping, which is incredibly frustrating. Clearer instructions on water temperature would be extremely helpful.

Suggestions for Improvement:
Dial Down the Sweetness: A reduction in sweetness would allow the natural flavors of the chai spices to shine through.
Enhance Spice Profile: A stronger presence of cardamom, cloves, and cinnamon would elevate the overall taste.
Clearer Preparation Instructions: Explicitly stating the optimal water temperature would prevent clumping and ensure a smooth drinking experience for those among us who want a hot cuppa chai.

I thought it would be better

Taste is good
Not so easy to make
I thought it would be better as taste and texture and my biggest hope was to have it warm
