Today is also the first day of the Nutrition and Fasting section of the program, where we focus on gut health, circadian fasting and diet. Today’s topic is: The importance of our gut health on our overall health. There are three points to understand about gut health:

There are 100,000 trillion microorganisms in our bodies and they are vital for human life 

Their responsibilities include: keeping our immune system responsive, aiding in digestion and synthesizing vitamins.

You can optimize your diet for gut health by incorporating fiber (vegetables, whole fruits) and prebiotics (dandelion, garlic, onion, bananas, asparagus, leeks) into each meal.


Your homework for today is: To eat 1-2 servings of these prebiotics at every meal!
