Most supplements—be it a tablet, gummies, powders, capsules, drinks or energy bars—are made up of active ingredients, which have strong effects on the body. So whenever you add a new supplement to your supplement plan, first talk to your doctor about its safety and efficacy for your body.
Also, keep these four things in mind:
#1: Taking more than the required dose can lead to side effects.
#2: Dietary supplements can interact with each other and lead to negative impact on the body.
#3: Supplements can interact with other prescription medications you may be taking.
#4: Do not substitute supplements for prescription medication unless cleared by your healthcare provider.
