Day 35 of the 60 Day Ultimate Optimization Challenge
Today is an interesting discussion—should you workout alone or socially/in a group setting?
The answer is… studies show that it depends on your personality! Read to find out.
Workout in a group: you may thrive in a social setting—be it a group class because you get motivation from others (typically dopamine-driven people) and like some healthy competition.
An example of this would be a HIIT class with others.
Workout alone: serotonin-driven people prefer working out alone and in a calmer style.
This could be a walk in nature or yoga.
My recommendation: I think you can get benefits from both so try to switch it up if possible.
Find your personality and then do both.
Your homework for today is: If you thrive on working out with others, do two social workouts and if you like being alone, do two solo workouts this week.
