Do you wonder how much sleep is really enough? With hectic lifestyles and stressful days, sleep may seem like the least important part of your day. We all need and want more hours in the day to get things done, so sleep can sometimes get pushed to the back burner. So, how much sleep is really enough to be healthy and regulate your circadian rhythms? Here’s what you need to know:
The truth is, everyone is different! But, a good rule of thumb is 6-8 hours of sleep, three days a week at the minimum is the goal.
The important part is going to bed and waking up at the same time.
Stop eating and turn off screens at sunset, turn lights down, wake up with the sun and go outside and get direct sunlight to balance melatonin levels.
Your homework for today is: To try and get at least 6-8 hours of sleep 3 days this week.
